You must be kidding!
On occasion one hears a story which has one exclaiming “you must be kidding!” Well that story is the basis for the name of our repackaged Sauvignon Blanc. Before the PC era many things were done without fear of a media storm. So it was in the early 1900s when posting a package was becoming possible, that parents saw an opportunity to save on costs. Getting your kid from one town to another was now possible without an expensive train or carriage ticket. Several children were stamped, mailed and dutifully delivered by the US Post Office between 1913 and 1915, as this was the cheapest travel option. One such girl named Charlotte May, was posted to her grandparents and the story is now recounted as Mailing May.

Postcard Range
So our Sauvignon Blanc is now called Mailing May Sauvignon Blanc.
The label for this wine is a delightful post card design harking back to the days of the cherished hand written note, and forms part of the new Postcard range. So newly added to our range is a crisp unwooded Cameo Chenin Blanc and a Three Pearls Grenache Rose. Queen Elizabeth 11 is often depicted in silhouette or Cameo and these stamps are known as the Cameo range, similar to a Cameo Brooch. It also means a brief but noticeable part in a film, performed by a famous actor, and as Chenin Blanc is such a versatile and bright wine it lends itself to the name. Three Pearls refers to a misprint on a rare Russian Stamp where one of the four pearls is missing from the label. So enjoy in the delights of the newly released crisp Cameo Chenin Blanc 2020 and a stunning Three Pearls Grenache Rose.
